Washington D.C. Big Bones Bash 2002

Smithsonian Institution's National Museum of Natural History

The first-ever Big Bones Bash was held on October 26, 2002 in Washington, D.C. at the Smithsonian Institution's National Museum of Natural History. Over 300 entries from more than 600 participating youths from 23 organizations throughout the D.C./Baltimore were submitted. Seventy finalists were selected to demonstrate their creativity and share compelling messages at a special exhibition held at the Smithsonian. Thousands of friends, families, peers and visitors were treated to a wide range of incredibly imaginative and powerful displays about calcium's importance to teens. See our survey results and event photos.
